I am looking to upgrade to a new video card from a X700 for the rig below. I do some gameing and right now I am trying to play through F.E.A.R. and I am having trouble running it at 800x600 with most setting at medium it plays but it looks horrible and I was wonder what would be a good video card upgrade for this system I am looking to spend 200-400 dollars and I'm starting to drive my self nuts trying to choose so any help would be beneficial.
 
best bang for the buck

1. 7800gt $320 (after rebate) with free cod2

2. x800gto2 (sapphire) modded to x850xt $199-$300 (mine wouldnt to xt pe)

3. x1800xl $380 most will overclock to x1800xt (they will drop more soon)


im probally looking at a x1800xl myself. although the 7800gt is a hell of a deal right now, not only that but the new nvidia drivers support multithread cpus so my duel core works great, 10%-30% improvments. if you figure in cod2 you are under $280 do thats a solid choise.

although $380 + overclocking gives you the fastest videocard out there right now. thats hard to walk away from. there just isnt any choises, its either sapphire (BBati) or built buy ati. same things different sticker.
