I am planning on building a new system soon (within the next couple weeks) with an AMD Phenom II x6. I have always used Nvidia cards and don't have any experience with ATI but I would be willing to make the switch. What is a good card to use with that processor?

My budget is no more than $200 for a card (that price can reflect the after rebate price).

I usually play FPS' and want to be able to keep this card going for a few years. I've been able to stretch my 6600GT for 6 years but it just meets below minimum requirements nowadays.

I also wanted to mention I plan on using an Antec Three Hundred case. I think most mid-high end cards should still fit in there.

GTX 470 @ Newegg there have been a couple deals involving the MSI 470 190 and also a different one for 199 AR and i expect some more deals are coming with black friday. Price/performance cannot currently be beat.

A 470 should fit in the 300 but it might be tight. Do your research first.

If I were to buy a card that should be in my machine for years, to replace a 6 year old 6600gt, I would trade a little less performance for less heat and noise
 
I too own a Three Hundred and as far as I know, itll hold any card out currently. Dont take that as gospel but Im 95% sure.

The best card under $200 is the 1GB version of the GTX460 along with the 6850. With the crap drivers (as usual) and issues with the 6850, Id go with the GTX460 personally. Newegg has an EVGA model on sale right now for $180 shipped.

If you can venture up a little more in your budget, they also have a 5850 for $220 shipped and a GTX470 for $235 shipped. Both would be great choices.

GTX 470 was on sale down to $199 MIR recently, MSI brand.
Coupon might still work, it's in the HotDeals section.

GTX 470 if on sale, or GTX 460 if not. 1 GB regardless of model. Sounds good to me. :)

On another note, I'm sad to see that no cards come with S-video or RCA output anymore.

:(

MSI and EVGA are good brands as well are others, any certain brands I should watch out for?
