New Video Card on Old Computer Article

I saw similar results when I went from a X700 to a 7800GT on my 3200+ A64. The differnece between the fastest cpu and the slowest one (With in reason) is neglible.

I've got an Athlon xp 3000+ and a 6600GT. I've been thinking about upgrading to a 7800GS. You guys think it's worth it?

probably so but it depends on your monitor. if you are stuck at 1024x768 then no. a 6800gs might be a better choice. i wish everybody would list their specs when asking about upgrading.

If you want to game at 12X10 yeah. Im gonna say that anything around 2.0 in an AMD is going to be good for quite some time as long as you dont get into having the highest benchmarks ever.
