New VIA All in One Drivers

i've got em but have'nt tried em out yet. some people over at via arena are reporting probs.with this latest ver.and xp sp2
 
Jeez, after rebooting my HD DIED!!! I don't think a driver chipset can screw a drive, but my BIOS no longer recognizes either of my IDE drives????
 
I've got them running now...it says the AGP drivers were updated, I'm going to run some benchmarks to see if it made any difference.

Odd, my IDE cable crapped out.. Anyone know if this common, never has happened to me before.. What can cause this, a short or do the cables simply fail every once in while???
 
I just installed them, and everything seems to work fine. No differences whatsoever for me...
KV8 Pro here.
 
Bumrush i think yours was trully a coincidence, i dont think the chipset drivers could kill a hard disk, check the power connector, maybe its loose or something.
