New tv needs something to do...

I just got a new TV and I need to breath some life into it, without moving my full tower computer to the living room. I have an old e6600 sitting around that needs a new purpose in life. The old build it was in is now fubar. Motherboard died, as did the psu.(the psu died gracefully and only took itself out) I have the technology and I can rebuild him, I just need some guidance. I have been looking at parts for sometime and am wondering what I can do better for a cheap decent motherboard.

went with the above as they are cheap and seem good. The psu im not to worried about, unless you guys know a cheaper one of the same wattage.(in price not quality)

what I have:
Corsair ddr2 800 ram 2x 512 and 2x1gb (would like 4dims but not needed)
Lian Li pc61 (looking at This beauty)
old 7900gt video card.

What I want:
-I want sound and video over a single HDMI cable. Not sure how to accomplish this. Thinking I will need a newer HDCP video card.
-Able to play TF2 on my newly acquired big ass tv.
-A functioning HTPC I need something to accomplish this. Xbox and ps3 don't nativity support what I need. MKV and avi. (and I dont have either one)
