Well It's that time once again so lets get to it

1) What will you be doing with this PC?
Web Browsing and email
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

USA Akron Ohio I have a microcenter 40 minutes away
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?
The complete tower, cpu, mobo, ram, hdd, dvd drive, case, power supply, speakers
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
15 inch Samsung monitor, dell keyboard and dell mouse
6) Will you be overclocking?
No No No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
I honestly dont know, didn't check it shouldn't really matter

ASAP, can get the parts tomorrow
9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
Nothing special, as long as I have 2 sata ports and built in ethernet it's fine

Yes, Windows 7 64 bit

This is for my grandmother who honestly is just trying to email her family members, She isn't tech savvy at all, shes 72 and this is her second computer. It is replacing a old compaq that had a 40gb hard drive, 256mb of ram and windows xp
 
Go to Micro Center and grab a prebuilt machine:

$280 - Dell Inspiron 660s
$300 - HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 (Refurbished)

You can find something similar online (at either NewEgg or Amazon).

Would your grandmother like a laptop instead?
 
It says that dell is a single core celeron, I'll gladly pass on that one
 
With a budget like that, I wouldn't be expecting much more. Also that celeron G470 would be fine for web broswing and emails.

My mistake. I rushed a bit through my earlier post.

Here are a couple of alternatives:

$300 - Lenovo H520s
$300 - Gateway SX2865-UR15

I confirmed that both systems use Socket 1155 (Ivy or Sandy Bridge) dual-core processors.
