Thanks guys, but it is only temporary. I've got some systems that require connectivity testing and once that is complete then back to around 100k per day where I was before. I had to have the machines on anyways, so in the off hours I quick set up notfred on a PXE setup and they are chewing away on A3s in the meantime.
 
Well we are happy for the ppd temp or not.

Just thought a ramp like that should be pointed out :cool:
 
Even if it's temporary at least it helps put a little more wiggle room between the green ogres and us. :D

And I was just thinking I was mowing. I have went from 1500ish to inside the top 400 just this month, but my mower coughed and died when i saw that.

Great for us, keep that up as long as you can. I work for a company (actually, federal government) that has over 30,000 pc's company wide. Man what I wouldn't give to be able to borg all of 'em.

6 out of 8 of the machines are chewing on P6701s now, so that ought to slow things down a bit. :-( 17k ppd each instead of 30k ppd. Blah...
 
Temporary or not, that is incredible! I dream that one day I will be able to produce even just 100k ppd.

Hopefully you can get lucky once more in the future. There was someone else here (dephcon) who had occasional access to new IBM servers, and produced very high PPD elevating him to the top of the ranks at the time. Even if it's only temporary, it is greatly appreciated. :)
 
I just saw the spike on your graph. It looks more like you added jet fuel instead of gas.

It is a mobile broadband router, and I've got the battery cover off so that the battery doesn't explode. !!! :D

What kind of systems are these? If you'll have them for a couple of days, maybe run -bigadv? That should solve the bandwidth issue and the PPD will probably double the quadruple estimations...

They aren't Windows, so no bigadv. :-( Just a PXE booted Linux image to run some connectivity testing among some bladesystem enclosures and blades.
