new to water cooling

i have uased air collinf forever, and now want to really overclock my A64 3200
after doing some reading i came up with this setup

the total comes to 190 ish. and i know the idea of budget water cooling seams illogicle, but idealy i'd like to keep cost under 200.

Do any of the verteins have ideas, or suggestions
 
I'm not a veteran, but I'd suggest getting a different water block than that one. Also, how big is that radiator? There are 80mm, dual 80mm and 120mm versions of the black ice.
 
well, a good start would be to post watercooling questions in the watercooling forum.

the hydor L35 is a good pump. danner has some competing products in that price range, and they are also good. if you get one of the blocks below, look for lots of head. preferably more tha 10' of it, as the good DC pumps for those blocks get at least that.

assuming that you got your name corrent, then contrary to what megadeath_guy01 says, you have specified your rad correctly, but it is rather small and rather expensive for what you get. a modded bonneville heatercore is a fairly cheap, good performance option. dangerden has them pre-modded, and there are some people on this forum who also sell modded cores.

the maze 4 is a pretty lousy block for straight watercooling, these days. d-tek white water, swiffech 6002 DD RBX and DD TDX all perform better, for not much more money.

you can save some dough by using a T-line instead of a res, and they work pretty well.

clearflex tubing is good stuff, and not as much as the premium tygon. a little UV dye in your coolant-water mix might give you the pretty UV, with the solid reliability of GOOD tubing.

zerex seems to be the coolant additive of choice around here. you can get it at a well stocked auto parts store. the UV dye should mask the normal colour of the zerex.
 
sorry about posting in the wrong part of the forum, i did not see the sub forum untill after i posted. so i shoulod get a different radiator and no resivour. is there anything else i can do to cut cost?
