I just got me an Ultra Micro Fly case and now I'm trying to figure out what HSF to get. I have a Freezer 64 right now but there's no way in hell that beast is going to fit. The Thermaltake Blue Orb II looks nice, will that fit? What are some other good HSF's?
 
I have the Blue Orb II, on my old mobo I hit 2.8 easily on stock volts with my opty146. Temps never went over 42 :eek:
 
Can someone please recommend a good small/short 754 hsf? I just got the blue orb II and it's too big. My collection of hsf's is really ridiculous right now. lol

Is the Golden Orb II good? It's a little smaller right?
 
The Blue Orb has a 120mm and I think the Gold Orb has a 92mm. Both are near the same height.

As far as height it's too big by a hair, I had to kind of bend up the support beam in the case a little bit to get it in there. Also it overhangs the top of the motherboard by about half an inch so it wouldn't fit through the motherboard tray opening in the back and I had to install the motherboard inside the case through the left side panel.

I read that the Golden Orb's height is 63mm compared to the Blue Orb's 66mm so that would solve that problem...and being 92mm instead of 120mm might solve the other problem.

What are some good Zalmanns that I should look into?
 
Okay so I got the Blue Orb to work out, just had to bust out the dremel and hack up the case a little. Cut a small piece out of the back and the inside under the support rail, now the mobo tray slides in and out real easy.

Interesting, I only had to dremel a small tab... Nowhere near that much. Nonetheless, it looks good and clean. How are the temps?
 
Well I did dremel a little more than I had to just to be safe. Do you have any pictures of yours, where you cut out the small tab?

Temps are usually around 30-40. I'm probably going to switch out the stock case fans next.

I will get some pics once I get the build back together, I am waiting on my RMA'd board from Newegg (eVGA mATX SLI board had NB temps over 100 degrees celcius)
