Spec:

WinXP w/ SP1
chantech 7NJS
AthlonXP 2500
512MB DDR RAM
ATI Radeon AIW 9600XT
Seagate 160GB SATA HDD
NEC ND-1100A DVD burner
Aopen 1648 DVD ROM

Nothing is overclocked.

The CD drives are coming up as "SCSI CDROM Device" and a "VOBID InstantDrive CD SCSI CDROM Device" when they are not SCSI they use the IDE cable. I have the NEC as the Primary Master and the Aopen as the Primary slave.

I have no clue what the "VOBID InstantDrive CD SCSI CDROM Devices" is?

If I try to burn CD or DVD the system errors out with either:

0x000000676
0x000000000
0x000000001
0x81AD2020

The only way the computer will acknowledge that there is a HDD is if RAID is turned on in the BIOS and it only appears when the RAID searches for the drive - nothing in the BIOS will show it.

What am I doing wrong? I never used RAID or a SATA HDD.

I am going to try to reinstall XP and see what happens.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
