Hello,
This is my current system
Asus Sabertooth 990 FX r2.0
16 GB Corsair Vengeance memory
AMD FX 8350 CPU
Coolermaster Evo 212 with 1-120 mm Jetflo PWM fan
Coolermaster V850 PSU
Evga 2-way SLi 660 FTW signature 2 GPU's
Rosewill Ultra gaming case with plenty of fans
I would like to try to get into overclocking my CPU to try to get it up to like 4.5 maybe a bit higher but I have never really got into overclocking before. I think this would give me a slight better performance on some games that I currently play.
So if anyone has a set list they can give me to what to setup in Bios & AI suite II please let me know. Thanks for the replies.

So anyone out there got any ideas, I just did a few hours of searching but cannot really find a straight forward guide on how to overclock my system, everyone starts out with what settings work but then like always go off on a tangent about something else.

Well I started the OC'ing of my Mobo & CPU last night
I was getting some temps not sure if I might need a different Heatsink or go liquid cooled,
I got my CPU power at 1.3625 I had my CPU ratio set at 4.5, my Vcore 1 was at 60-65 degree celsius & my CPU was steady at 60 degrees celsius, I am not sure this is really good temp set for on 20 min of a prime95 blend test.

Well for starter that cooler is ok, but not exactly high end IMO. (So dont expect to match some others temp wise) I know a few members off the top my head has a similar setup.
cageymaru cageymaru send him a pm since he dont check this area often. I have an Intel setup so my experience wouldn't help on board specific info.
pendragon1 https://hardforum.com/members/pendragon1.8409/ might could help as well.

I already have 2 120mm pmw fans already installed on the heatsink
One is a Coolermaster Jetflo PMW fan the other is a low profile 120 PWM fan both have get airflow I got them in a push & pull setup.,

As mentioned on another similar thread, you may just not have hit the silicon lottery. My AMD triple core wouldn't unlock the 4th core. I threw the dice, I crapped out. Sometimes you just can't get a good overclock on a particular chip.

Well so far I got it set at 4.4 GB CPU ratio, been stable with Prime95 for 30 minutes, got the voltage at 1.350 did some tweaking in Bios I am thinking I can get it to a stable 4.5 here soon got some more playing around, I did play on 4.4 setting Witcher 3 for about just over a hour had one freeze up on the game but that has happen before since I think that Witcher 3 is a glichy game.

What is the voltage limit on those chips? I'm poor and haven't gotten play with much new tech.

Highly unlikely a game causing BSOD's.....your just rationalizing that it wasnt from the cpu/motherboard bios overclock settings. I doubt it driver related either from your cards.... Not to mention what were the temps when it crashed? Games can somtimes stress the cpu and memory just a tad differently than what your usual stress test does. ( but that doesnt mean its the games fault! lol)

Yeah been kinda getting answers from other thread areas, Well so far holding steady at 4.4 GB CPU ratio, voltage is at 1.3625 I will be trying something else here soon got some more tweak ideas.
