I just got into overclocking, I have been reading alot, and have a fairly good idea what I am doing, but right now im getting high enough speeds some more advanced tweaking needs to be done. My system is a A64 2800+ and a KV8 Pro. Ram is Corsair Value DDR400. I started out by bumping my FSB to 225x9 (2.03Ghz) and everything was stable. Put it to 230x9 and I coudlnt boot. I got a blue screen error, meaning memory. I put a 6/5 divider, my ram is now running at 188. Windows boots, but its not real stable. I up the voltages as follows. NB = 1.3, CPU = 1.7, DDR = 2.8. More stable, but still not there. I then realized my HT multi was a 5x, i set it to 3x, and now I am stable. I image I wont be able to go much farther hower, but if i can, I think it will be more than just bumping the FSB. SHould I maybe decrease my mulitplier, i have heard that can help. What about voltages, what are safe levels, that is my one shakey area. Would going from 2.5-3-3-8 to 3-4-4-8 or something like that maybe give me a ebtter ram OC, or is it safe to assume 225 is its max?
