new to ATI help needed

all my life i bought nothing but nvidia until now. friday i should be expecting my x1900xt in the mail. what do i need to run the card, like nvidia i juss dl the lastest drivers fromt there website. what do i need with ATI were do i go what should i dl. also im getting a dfi sli board on friday also. right now im running a gigabyte k8n nf4 board. the dfi is also nf4 do i need to do ne thing with the nf4 drivers i used with the gigabyte board or do i need to uninstall all my drivers and juss dl the nf4 drivers again.

Just make sure your bios have the right settings for your card. You will also need to install .NET framework which you can get in the driver download section on ATIs website. You can grab the ATI drivers from there site.

Heres the drivers for windows XP. Click radeon and its all pretty easy from there on.Hopfully you shouldnt have any trouble browsing a site

Don't worry about the NF4 drivers, but you will want to uninstall the video drivers and remove the remnants with DriverCleaner.

As far as the ATI drivers go, just visit their driver page and download .net and the Catalyst package. I'd suggest using the 6.3 drivers (with the Chuck patch if you're playing Oblivion) as some people have reported problems with the 6.4s. Again, if you're playing Oblivion then you need the 6.3s as HDR+AA won't work with the 6.4s.
