I just picked up the g2x or whatever the new LG phone for tmobile is. How do I get stuff on it from my computer? I'm running xp and it recognizes the phone when I hook it up, but something 'fails' and it won't 'install drivers' to see the thing :(

Does something pop up on your phone for you to select like charge only, mount as disk drive etc?

My laptop still has XP, just plugged it up, selected disk drive and the pc sees it as like a usb storage drive.

I don't have a G2x but if it's like any other Android phone you shouldn't have to install drivers. Simply plug the usb into you computer, select "mass storage" on the notification bar, and drag and drop. It doesn't get any easier than that.

You may have to toggle usb debugging on and off or try it in both positions

Are you trying to access the SD card through explorer or use ADB?
