Hi there,

Below is the system I am thinking of buying. Before I go out and spend the money I need a few questions to be answer. Hopefully you guys can help.

1. The system below has no case. I am looking for a super quiet case. Any suggestions.
2. The system below has no power supply. For this I am looking for a super quiet PS. How much power?
3. Is this a good system?
4. Is the RAM a good make?
5. Are the cooling products I have chosen sufficient enought to make this system run effeciently.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How much are you looking to spend on a case? The Antec Sonata is a really nice case that is really quiet. The Silverstone Temjin TJ06 is nice too along with the Coolermaster Centurion 5

Definitely get a Seasonic PSU if you want quiet. Use the PSU calculator in the PSU forum to decide how much power you need.

3. Is this a good system?

Depends on what your using it for. I can't really comment on the CPU and mobo you picked as I am an AMD guy.

4. Is the RAM a good make?

Yes

For harddrive I would really get a Samsung since it is obvious you want quiet components.

What do you mean the system outpaces the video card?
What kind of VC should I be looking at?

Why blow all that money on 1GB of top of the line RAM, and a fast processor if you're going to get a vanilla video card?

That's our point. It will work, but if you're in the mood to blow money, you might as well splurge on a better video card.

First off, that 256 mb on the x700 pro is completely useless. At the same price, a 6600 GT 128 mb is better. I'd aim for a X800 XL if I were you though.

I agree.
