sure is. i got the x800 pro cause it was such a kickass deal. it was a refurb so hopefully nothing is wrong with it. but you can flash it to x800 xt bios :). I was actually looking at a 6600gt and probably would of gotten it if i didn't run into such a good deal on the refurb.

is this hardware you have assembled or just purchased?

Ohh, nice. Planned on going abit av8 and 3400+ but I didn't trust tigerdirect's MIR very much. But they did have an amazing deal on 512mb or cheap memory, and that mobo and cpu. Went 939 instead, and am still happy :)

How's that pqi memory btw? I was thinking about getting some cheaper ram for my sister's comp, but wasn't sure what to get.

Man sound like a pretty nice system, but how is my rig?? which is in my sig any good? lolz

w00t for the LG dvd burner. i got a 4163b and it's most satisfied i've been with a pc purchase (cause i'm soooo picky).

I havn't got the memory or anything else yet for that matter. i've ordered it but it won't be here to thurs or friday probably.

I actually bought the motherboard and the memory from two nice fellas on the for/sale for trade forum. got the 1gb stick of pqi for $85 and the motherboard for $110.

I just ordered the parts in my sig yesterday. Well everything except for the 160 gig HD I already have it.

very good pick of components :)

Yes very nice. Sorry I didn't say this before I am excited for my computer to come! Its now on Stage 4 on Newegg.com!

Bah, I simply can't condone spending money on a computer right now. I've lost all the urge and luster for it. I'm perfectly happy with my meager 2.4C, near 500 GB's of storage space, Abit IC-7, Powercolor 9700 Pro, and Hercules Fortissimo III sound card.

Next year however, I plan on going for PCI-Express. That's a beautfiul thing.

I mainly wanted to get out of my out of date bus speed, and have pci-e and sata. just wanted to be in a newer generation of hardware. plus after more drivers are available i might try out that 64bit windows :)

I built my computer so I can actually play games like BF:V, Joint Operations and America's Army without have video card lag I guess you can call it. Since my main gaming comp has intergrated video and it only has PCI slots.

Nice picks, I'd just reconsider the Raptor. You seem to be on a bit of a budget buying those parts, and if you ever think theres a possibility that you'll use more than the 74GB I'd look into a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 drive. It's got a 16MB cache so its on the Raptor's 10,000rpm tail.

That's my oppinion, unless you are running a big server or have another valid reason for getting one, the price to performance increase ratio is wayy too tiny.
