I received my system today which is as follows:

Athlon FX-57
2GB Corsair RAM
560GB HDD
2 x 7800GTX's

I ran 3DMark05 and received a mark of only 8948 why might this be? During the last couple of videos I was getting around 2-6 FPS which I didn't expect from my new system. This is the standard free version I am running of it by the way, so I am not sure if it supports SLi mode or not?

I would go through and check drivers for everything first, make sure you are using the newest, yadda yadda. I'm not all too familiar with sli and the drivers, but make sure aa and af aren't being forced by the driver.

Oh and set the profile in your control panel applette to 3dmark o5.exe

Do I need to change the profile for each and every program I use?

the last "videos" as you put it, are testing your cpu performance, only the first 3 are for gpu.

Once they start repeating its the cpu tests.

Overall your score should be a little higher, something like 11,500-12,000 I would guess. As stated above make sure you have the profile running, working drivers, etc.
The last two tests are CPU tests and rip all CPU's a new hole, you are getting normal results on those tests.

Did you install after all the service pack 1 stuff before sp2.

Mobo driver, graphics driver, sound driver, ethernet driver ..

I find to myself i get best synthetic benchmarks when i do it that way.

No, you can use the global driver settings but you will get better performance in games and benchies if you use a specific profile.

also there was a thread started by computerpro3 that address optimizing for 3dmark if thats your bag. Use the search thread engine . IT was a sticky at one time

Like someone else said, make sure the AA and AF are set to "application controlled" in your drivers, and if you want a better score set the "image settings" to high performance. Also make sure SLI is working, that sounds like the score someone with only one 7800GTX would get.
