hey i was just wondering if anyone knew of any basic easy virus/spyware blocking and removal applications. I like to game alot and the ones I have tried in the past like norton and mcafee slow down my computer... also if they are free that would be great hah

Anti-Vir is pretty good.

Anti-Vir isn't too bad.

Personally I've been using NOD32 and it's VERY lightweight, but it's a paid option.

i've never really had any issues with avast for antivirus. also, threatfire seems to be pretty good for all the other crap. you can also run software like adaware and spybot on an ad-hoc basis only when you want to, so it's not running all the time.

NOD 32 hands down. It is worth the money in my opinion.

Nod32 is pretty much all I'll run anymore. Definitely worth the cost.

I've used AVG Anti-Virus for a while. Can't complain.
