i am thinking about upgrading the major parts of my system in about 2-3 months.
i will have $600 maybe a bit more.
comparing, an amd64 3700+ to a p4 3.4 775 socket or maybe a 3.6 p4 775 socket. i play some games, not much. main priority is boot fast, opening files/applications faster (moving quickly). which one do you recommend?

and, do you guys think upgrading to a 2nd harddrive and creating a raid 0 configuration would increasing speed dramatically?:)

and, is ddr2 old enough?
 
I'd get the A64.. as for the RAID 0 - I don't think it's worth it, unless you really have money to spend and can get a separate drive for storage and use the RAID 0 for OS and appz..
