OK I'm beginning to piece the parts I want to buy together...all I gotta know is whether they are compatible with each other because I haven't been keeping up with all the new releases...

For all the other parts I can figure it out, but is this core good enough and would you buy something similar?

One 74Gb Raptor is likely to be substantially faster than 2x36Gb even in RAID 0, except for certain specific tasks. I would get one 74Gb drive if it was my choice.

Make sure the CPU is socket 939 to match the motherboard of course! Also, if you are going to get SLI, it would be best to get one 6800GT now, rather than the 6800 non-Ultra that you've specified. The GT is substantially quicker and if you ever come to add a second one to the SLI board, they'll fly.
