So I got my new pre-built computer from AVADirect today and there's a problem. I'm currently using the on-board video but Windows and the CC install doesn't seem to detect my 4850. I've made sure the card is connected and all the power supply connectors are snugly plugged in. Can anyone help me? Today's my birthday and this was my big present. :(

I'm using an HDTV/Monitor connected with DVI. Max res is 1280x720. Oh and the fan is spinning.

Did you go to control panel and go to the old video card and click Uninstall? after that a reboot with the monitor connected to the new card should work.

In the BIOS check if it has an option to initiate which display interface/device from whatever choices. It usually shows as "Init"something with a few options to choose from. Sorry for the vagueness, but its probably set to "init"ing the on-board video still.
