OK, so currently I have this system:

AMD Athlon XP 2800
MSI Mobo
512mb ram pc 2700 i think
40GB crap poop HD
and a geforce FX ultra 5600
w/ a 300 watt PS case

should i upgrade everything w/ mobo and get a PCI Express type mobo w/ Athlon 64? or should I get a regular mobo w/ athlon FX and stay w/ AGP cards for a little bit and use some of my old parts?

You could keep the RAM, and possibly the video, for now. What're you looking to spend? If you do decide to upgrade that is.

I say mobo CPU and video card. Ram should live and HDD well live. But ya PCIe well last longer.
