Performance Summary & Final Conclusions:

Sunbeamtech's NUUO 550W would be a worthy power supply for even the most demanding PC. It is modular, has a little temperate display / fan controller, and is NVIDIA SLI Certified. Voltages usually stayed within 2-3% tolerance, even under near-full load (532W). The higher temperature rating for the components should ensure proper performance even under the harshest conditions. Being a modular power supply, it is nice to see that the number of connectors match the number of cables. I have seen other modular PSUs short-change the user on available power plugs, thus they can't use all the cables that are provided (which makes zero sense).

+3.3V@28A, +5V@36A, +12V1@20A, +12V2@18A , +12V2@0.8A, +5VSB@2.5A

The +5VSB@2.5A "could be" very important for DFI N4's.

I will add this to the "recommended list", but I can NOT add it to the DFI N4 "A" list untill it is fully tested with DFI N4's.

i will be getting mine delivered in a few hours and i will swap out my powerstream 600 and test it on my sli rig (2x7800gt) for a while. i guess i can log voltage fluctuations thru mbm and get a few voltage readings from a molex with my dmm, but aside from that i wont be able to report much. a coolermaster 550 and the first version of the antec 550watt true control would not power this rig 24/7 when i used 2x6800gt sli. i dont know if the 7800gt draws more or less power than the 6800gt, but i would assume more, because thats the way nvidia has been going.

very truly yours,

ps i think newegg is out of stock. and beware, there is a 450watt version for like the same price. check frozencpu or performance pc

finally broke 12k
