new SR review up

Hmm, it loses. Unless you need quiet or low power draw, the Maxtor or Fujitsu drives win.
 
135MB/sec is bananas. If you need high disk throughput for a quad coire video editing rig or something like that, I can see these drives being useful. For heavy duty server work, I agree that the Maxtor and Fujitsu offerings are better suited.

BTW, the reason for the delay on this review isn't SR's fault. The review sample Seagate provided was an 80 pin SCA drive, and it experienced issues with SR's 68 to 80 adapter, unlike every other SCSI drive they've tested.
 
Would have been nice to see that 135MB/s translate into a more well rounded performance though, seems that drive is nowhere near as well rounded as the MAU, or the Atlas in that respect.
