Hey everyone just wanted to post my new system.
My new(to me at least, made in 1978) Technics SA-700 stereo receiver(you can also see one of my old Altec Lansing ACS-56's in the pic):

New Athena AS-B1's:

All setup and burning in:

I realize that the placement isn't perfect but the receiver is going to be moved over to my tv soon(where it powers some 80's Vivid tower speakers) and i will get these spread out to the corners of the desk.
You can also see my GTXP in the last pic which is hooked up to the receiver.

EDIT: sorry pics work now

haha, true true. But you don't realize how dark it is in my basement, i really can't see the dust except in the flash ;)
But after taking those pictures I did dust everything up.

You should take pics after you dust it up ;)

it's a start at least, we used all the cleaning stuff after the dog shit and pissed all over the house. So next time i'm out i'll get some stuff to do it better.

I have a simular setup with a Pioneer SA-550 stereo amp and a Technics SH-8055 equalizer running two JBL N24s. I shall see if I can get some pictures soon.

BTW: What are the size of those drivers on those Athenas? Do you have a sub at all. How many watts per channel is that Technics amp?

the athenas have a 1inch tweeter and 5.25 inch drivers. No sub yet but I'll probably add one to the setup soon. The receiver puts out 100W per channel.

So I wasn't able to steal a camera, but I'll just use Klipsch's bandwidth and pics I already have.

I'm hooting_monkey of course.

My Pioneer SA-550 is 45w per channel. I have a Technics SH-8055 12 channel EQ with analyzer. Two JBL N24 IIs flank my screen. They have a 3/4" titanium tweeter and 4" ported mid-bass driver.

nice setup, how do you like the JBL's? I was looking at those before I decided on the Athenas.

Despite them having 4" drivers they definately have a good punch to them. They seem to have a few resonate effects in the enclosure that makes them kind of strange to listen to on heavy bass guitar, but I still think that they are much better than the stock sats that come with multimedia speakers.
