ok so I've been looking for a sound card that will do both optical out and have good quality dacs(better then onboard anyway) for when I use the PC, I have klipsch 5.1 ultras so I Was thinking about getting

does the Xram help at all? can I just leave the I/O panel in the back of the pc dangling instead of in the front?

and one last option would be

so cliffs
-Is the Prelude worth getting over the plat/f4t in terms of sound Q
-Is the platinun f4t worth getting over the xtreme music for the X-RAM?
-what to expect with drivers with both the prelude and the regular xfi cards

prelude. you can use the analogue outs on that one for the best sound. if you had a high end outboard dac like me then I would use the fatality with the digital out.

so I will be able to tell the diff on the 5.1 ultras from the xfi and prelude-xfi?

also how about drivers are they the same for the prelude as they are for all other XFI cards

shamless klipsch plug :p

btw wow, the crystalizer makes a huge diff, I <3 it so far

amazingly enough it makes my damn ht system sound better too, even the sub sounds clearer now, the treble hits so much harder
