new sony xbrite lcds

[TechStuey05]

Hi Anyone know if sony will be releasing any new sony xbrite lcd monitors? I currently use my sony sdm-hs95p/b which has replaced my sdm-hs94p/s but I actually prefer the older one for colors and text. I've always been fond of sony's xbrite monitors but am alittle dissapointed with their newer lcds . I'd like to know if or when sony will be releasing new xbrite monitors. I searched the internet but couldn't find any info. Thanks for your help, Stu

God knows, Sony are pathetic these days. They should be doing killer 20 and 23/4-inch widescreen Xbrite panels by now, at least. They really are so behind the curve these days, I don't hold out much hope

When you consider the richly successful history of the Trinitron tube, it is all that much more dispapointing to see where they are. Sony did have a brief moment of glory with their SDM-P234 but Dell has really harpooned theirs and many others' impact.

high end lcd monitors is such a small market

no suprise sony isnt all that into it

they focus more on lcd tvs in which they are world leaders atm

Sony has a new 20" widescreen, right? I saw it somewhere. But as usual it's too expensive and has that silly curved bottom which I hate.

i like my 19" sony sdm-hs93 LCD though still. It's old and not really top of the line anymore but it looks and views just as good as the day i got it home...(i really love the picture on it and the colors)
But if i ever do upgrade, it will most likely be a dell 2405 unless sometime alot better comes along.
