Ok so i have decided to go ahead and plan my new build. So far im looking at the following parts but need some advide to finish it off.

CASE: Ultra MicroFly Aluminum Micro ATX
MOBO: Asus P5E-VM HDMI
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 GO stepping
RAM: Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB
PSU: Ultra Modular 500-Watt
as for video card im going to pull at my 7900 gt from an older computer until i can find the money to put in an 8 series card or something new from the 9 series when its released.

I need suggestions on a good cpu cooler that will work well in this case and also i have no idea on what kind of harddrive or drives to get. any help is apprecaited!
 
Nice, ill look into that more but im still debating whether i want to go the water cooling route or the air route.

it is generally accepted that the microfly / qpack has a 65mm vertical limit for cpu heat sinks, so the mini ninja (80mm tall) will not fit without cutting the internal brace. regarding hard drives, BestBuy has had WD 500GB Sata drives on clearance for $88, I just got a 160GB Seagate laptop drive from them for $29 so it may be worth checking into. If you re looking for sff build advice, ignore the guy with the antec 900 =P

the mini ninja is actually 115mm tall
 
There are a couple HSFs that work well in the microfly with socket 775.

Swiftech MCX775

I think a Zalman 7000 will work.

Silverstone NT03.

I just built my boy a rig with a microfy, E6600 and an NT03. Overclocking to 3GHz on stock voltage.

Depending on how things line up you might be able to use something like a Thermalright Ultra 90 if you slip on the backplate and then install the HSF after you put the board and motherboard tray back into the case (might have to mod the side support though).

you re right... I was going by newegg, I think they pasted the fan dimensions lol.
 
Yea, thats pretty big, that silverstone cooloer is pretty nice but also large. Im looking into the zalmans though since they seemed to have worked the best before.
