I just bought a Ultra MicroFly. I want to upgrade. I am not looking to get a Core 2 Duo or AM2. I want a S939 or a Low End Socket 775. I don't play alot of games. What do you guys recommend.

I recommend you go with socket 939 because there are more motherboard options.

Because i don't to use DDR2 yet and the Core 2 Duo are to expensive for my taste. I have a 1.5gig DDR Ram that i am going to use.

3800+ X2 is your cheapest dual core option, maybe pair that with the foxconn 6150 board... i d invest in another 512MB of ram while you re at it. what budget are you working with ?

i want spend about five hundred if not less. I also have to buy an operating system. But not Vista.

I found this:

BIOSTAR GEFORCE 6100-M9 - $59

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHz - $95.99

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 - $109.99

MassCool CPU Cooler - $5.99

what do you think?

the Foxconn mobo is only $10 more... you get 2 more SATA connectors and a third PCI slot instead of PCIe x1. I don t know what video card you will be running but the 6150 has a slightly faster core, you may want to read up on the video playback benefits as well:

i had a biostar T-force 6100 and loved it, i have nothing against them... i just think the foxconn is a better board. that cooler will probably suit your needs if you re not over clocking.
