This is going to be an HTPC so I wasn't sure whether to post here or the HTPC forum. It's going to be on a shelf in an open face (no doors) entertainment center so it needs to be small. It just needs to be powerful enough to run Windows (7) Media Center smoothly. The TV tuning will be taken care of by an HDHomeRun.

About the case....it's cheaply made of thin can aluminum. It resonates badly. An antec ISK-300 should be better but you'd need a laptop hdd

Cool, np, the Antec ISK-300 150 might be more expensive but it's better built while the smaller fans could be noisier the drone of the fans in the MI cases is annoying for me :D

I do agree that the Antec ISK 300/310 cases are better, in materials thickness, PSU and ventilation. However, you are wrong about the APEX case being made of aluminum. It is mild steel. Just because it is lightweight and silver doesn't make it aluminum.

Try sticking a refrigerator magnet to it. ;) If it sticks, it is steel. If not, it could be aluminum (for cases, probably) or some other non-ferrous metal.

Because if you're going to use the integrated video, then the Zocate with HD 6310 is slightly better than the HD 4250 on the board you picked.
Of course your board allows the flexibility to swap and upgrade CPU.

The Zocate boards also includes the CPU heatsink.

I have one of these. For XBMC it's great (under windows) but otherwise it's very slow...
