Hey guys basically im upgrading from my old P4 3.0, 6800GT and 1 gig of some corsair value ram as my lan box. What do you guys think of this, budget is under 800 without shipping(dont need OS).

I would suggest getting a MSI 8600 GTS OC for $190 from newegg. Also get a hard drive w/ 16MB of cache and the powersupply should be a nuff...
 
I'd definetely get a better hardrive. Like It_shiro suggested look for one that has 16Mb cache. Lot of good ones availble for well under $100. The PSU will drive it fine as is. There are better PSU to be had however. You might want to look into other psu and see what you can afford. Especially if you ever plan to overclock and add a bigger video card.

Another thing to consider is a aftermarket cpu hsf to replace the AMD stock one. They arent too expensive and will do a better job at cooling and quiet than the retail hsf. It'll also allow you to overclock if you ever decide you want to do that. The NF-M2 is a great overclocking mobo. If money is tight however you could get the hsf later.

If it comes down to a choice of a better psu or a better hsf go for the psu first. That way you have a good starting foundation to work with. Easier to add a hsf than replacing a psu IMHO.
