Hi,lookin into buying my first new rig in 5 years.

Wondering how it would hold up down the line,if it had any upgrade path and your take on it.

if the i7 920 can be had, you'd likely save money getting it. you'll also want some kind of cooler for it in the future, not currently my expertise. (i'll be getting a noctua, though. damn matx case )

upgrade path? another of the above hdds for raid0, another 5850 and ssd

If you're near a microcenter, i7 920 is $170 and i7 930 is $200.

Monitor used is a LG 2775-wpf 1920x1080
Main purpose is gaming and watching movies.
Price needs to be under 1800$ tax inc.
