I started to build my new pc last year but never finished. Here what I have so far:

Intel Q9550
G.skill 4gb ram
Western Digital Black 640GB
Cooler Master CM690 Advance II

What do you guys recommend for a motherboard, PSU, Video card, DVD Drive? My budget is $400

This drive doesn't burn DVDR DL if that matters to you.

Never had a powercolor product, but it is the cheapest 5770 and it has a 2 year warranty.

quality mobo

will be a tad under $400 shipped to me (florida) so depending on where you live it may be more or less.

If you want to save money on the PSU, you can get the EA650 for $75 ($65 w/ promo code, IIRC, check hot deals sub).

What features do you need in a mobo? If you don't need much, then the GA-EP43-UD3L is a good choice if you want to save some cash and it meets your needs.

Do you plan on OC'ing? If so, you'll want an aftermarket HSF, like the Xigmatek Dark Knight or CM Hyper 212+.

There's a whole sticky of questions you missed. :p

I'm pretty sure it does burn DL, from quick googling. ;)
