New rig keeps crashing, various error codes.

So I installed winxp pro w/sp2, installed latest forceware drivers, nforce chipset drivers, and DX9.0c.

However, my rig crashes constantly, often about 20 minutes after I boot up and often during something like a virus scan (norton internet security requires one) or if there is any load whatsoever on the comp. It doesn't usually crash when idle.

i checked the Event Log, and here's what it turned up in terms of system errors.

I get this error every 5 seconds or so (not displayed as an alert, only logged):

An error was detected on \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation

Is there anything wrong with my pagefile or something?

Here's the crashing error and its 4 parameters:

I put a lot of $$$ into my first rig, and I would really appreciate some help getting it stable.

I've read around that many people with Asus a8n-sli premiums are having major driver issues and BSODs with winXP.

Is this true and if so, what's the fix?

i would try a diff hardrdive
