I don't see a video card in that list. Also, if you're 6 months out from buying, it's almost not worth it to price things. In 6 months, everything will change.

But other than that, it looks like a pretty good setup to me.

im keeping my new vid card(whatever i wind up getting, my goldy oced 9800 non pro got fryed by my psu resently) so im not shure exacly whats going to happen to it, most likely a sapphire 9800 pro-bulk. but thats just quessing.[/ramble]

enywhay, i posted the prices b.c it might happon fairly soon.

bah, I re-read the links about 5 times looking for one, and never looked up :)

If it happens soon (within a month or two), then it's good to have an idea of what you want, so I agree with you on making the list.

Once you're certain that you're going to do it very soon, keep an eye on the Hot Deals forums. You may find something even cheaper on them.

Enjoy the new rig.

I wouldn't use the PSU for the case fans. The PSU doesn't know anything about the temps inside the case. The only temps its getting is what are inside the PSU. So your PSU could be hot or cool while your case is totally opposite. Plus you totally throw off the air pressure in the case and aren't getting sufficient airflow through the front of the case and out the back for proper cooling.

And if your planning on setting up a new rig in 2-6 months why are you asking about it now? lol

There is alot of technology getting released within the next 2-4 months. Namely a revamp of Prescott, PCI Express, DDR2, new ATI and Nvidia graphics cards, new motherboards with some great new addons.

I'm looking forward to the new Intel Extreme Graphics 3 on Intel's new motherboards. It will be nice to have some freaking kickass integrated graphics for when the fan is shitting out on my new vid card until i can order a replacement.

don't plan 6 month before.
too many things will change mate :D

b/c i wanted to know whats you guys think of it, and since the ath. 64 isnt a massive ocer, i dont think my iddle temps are that important

and im mostlikely going to get in in 2 months(after school ends)

Well its a nice system. But i just think you might have a change of heart in a couple of months if all this stuff gets released cause i've been following alot of it and there some pretty interesting stuff just around the door. And if Intel gets Prescott cooled off like their suppost to and they move it to LGA 775, it could be a force to be reckoned with because of its extreme overclockability and the fact Intel will be able to sell it cheaper then AMD can sell their A64's.
