I'm getting a new rig sometime by Christmas, and this is what I have so far, any comments or suggestions? I haven't bought a new rig in a few years and have been pretty out of it, when it comes to hardware for the past 2 or 3 years. I'm ordering through http://www.pugetsystems.com
This is what I have so far:

Motherboard Asus A8N-SLI Premium
CPU AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+
CPU Cooling Thermalright XP-120 Heatsink w/ 120mm Papast Fan
Ram OCZ PC3200 Perf. DC - 2x 1024mb
Case Lian-Li V1000 Mid-Tower
Hard Drive Western Digital SATA Raptor 74GB
Video Card EVGA GeForce 6800GT 256MB PCI-E
Monitor CTL 7GX - LCD 17 inch: Grey/Black
Sound Card Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic
Speakers Creative SBS560 5.1
CD / DVD Rom Lite On 16X Dual Layer DVD+RW/-RW B...
Removable Drive Lian-Li 6 in 1 Flash Reader (silver)
Power Supply [Recommended by Puget!] Seasonic S12 Series 500W Power Supply
Case Mods IDE 24inch Round Cable Silver
Case Mods Floppy 18inch Round Cable Silver
Additional Cooling Arctic Silver Ceramique

Missing anything?

Motherboard- $62 higher than newegg
CPU- Don't get the 4200 anyway, get the 3800. No real difference.
3800- $108 more than newegg
4200- $140 more than newegg
RAM- probably overpriced by at least $30
Case- $36 more than newegg
Hard drive- $90 more than newegg
Video Card- $160 more than newegg
Power Supply- $10 more than newegg
Sound card- $43 more than newegg
DVD Drive- $21 more than newegg

And I didn't include the monitor. So, save yourself $592 and build it yourself. with the money saved you could upgrade to a 7800gt/gtx and get a quality monitor.

Um, that's just paste, not actually "additional cooling" and i would recommend Arctic Silver 5 instead.

Well ok thanks, I know that pretty much everything on that site, is pretty overpriced, but the reason I went with them is that lately, and for the next few months I won't have much time to build the computer, besides the fact that I don't even know how to properly connect everything. Anyways I found this company on accident, but after googling around, and reading other's review, and viewed their cusomer service record I decided that I might as well see what they had, and I saved a custom on their website, and surprisingly, a day later I recieved an e-mail from a sales rep, ready to discuss the rig with me. So in the end, I think the $500+ dollars is worth it for the customer service and the warranty.
I'll see that about switching to the 3800, how much is the difference? Would it be noticable?

The only difference is 200 mhz on each core, not that noticeable. If you moved up to the 4400+ you'd probably see a bigger increase because of the extra cache. But between the 3800 and the 4200, its 3800 all the way.
