This is my latest thoughts on my rig:

Processor : intel e6600

G/Card : 8800 gtx / X2000 XTX

Mobo : ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP

RAM : 4 * 1gb OR 2 * 2gb stick kingston HyperX ddr2 800 (PC6400) model: #KHX6400D2LLK2/1G

Not sure what to use for cooling but thought I would ask about my case before looking at the cooling. The case above looks mega sweet but it's a tad expensive. I could afford it but that much money on a case goes against the grain. What would you folks suggest for a case for the above system?

I've just ordered my new PC and I went for the Antec P180b (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129017) and the same PSU that you have picked out.

I recently helped my brother build a PC in that case and it's sweet. Ofcause it also has a lot to do with looks, and I really like the look of the Antec P180b case.

edit: Oh and see if you can't find a CPU cooler with a 120mm fan, more cooling and less noise is a winner...
 
how hard is it to dremel through the case since is has all those extra layers?

the silverstone tj09 is a very nice case and is designed for aircooling in mind one of the best you can get
 
The tjo9 looks a bit pricey and the other one looks a bit plain. Keep the suggestions coming folks, this is great :)
Does anyone else think the Lian Li cases look dull and boring?
 
...as a CoolerMaster chassis fanatic, you can't go wrong with any of the CM Stacker line...;)
 
Looks as if it would be a great case but honestly, looks very plain, dull and boring from the outside. Any links to the CoolMaster chassis's?
 
CompUSA has the Antec nine hundred on sale for $95 w/ shipping and a $25 manufacturer rebate = $70. I sprung on the P180B as well but I wish I had this case instead :(
 
I can't stand these plain Antec P180s and Lian-Li cases. The majority of them are so boring and flat. I'd say go for something like a CM Stacker 830, i can't get over how good it looks!
 
Isn't that the whole point of case modding? To take a plain, boring case and make it look nice to you?

I came across this one on NewEgg a few days ago in search of a new case for a new build. It looks absolutely amazing. It's almost as though Lian Li saw the Antec P180B and thought "hmm... I wonder what happens when we make a case like that" (or maybe it was the other way around). I've been a fan of the P180B, but the A-10B is WAY better. My biggest complaint with the P180B has been the use of plastic all over it, but Lian Li doesn't know what plastic is. Unfortunately, the cost will probably stop me from getting it :(
 
Ha, that case looks funky. Not really my scene though, looks as if it belongs in someone's house who appreciates "post modern art" or "minimalism"..sheash..yeh!
Not planning on case moding, perhaps through in a light but I've never done anything to a case as such so wouldn't know where to begin?
I'm in the UK so american sites for sales/purchases don't really help me but thanks for the suggestion, please keep the suggestions coming :)

I can't see myself being a big fan of modding either, so when i buy a case i intend to leave it the way it is- apart from adding fans etc., obviously. What do you think of CM's Stacker 830? Or an Antec Nine Hundred could make a good alternative on a lower budget.

...I can tell you I simple luvs my Black Stacker 830...all the cooling you'll ever need in one sexalicious wrapper...:D
 
If you're going to get the 3D Aurora you're better off getting 570 model, it's bigger. That's what i originally had my mind set on when i was going to by my parts from Komplett, but the hard drive cage in that case really disrupts airflow from the front intake fan, which put me off.

Ill always have a special disgust for Lian Li for producing that POS "look! Im not really a Mac G5" clone that sort of affirmed to the already really annoying Mac crowd that the PC has nothing going style wise but to (badly and in a half ass way) copy Apple designs and ship them en masse from Taiwan.

I know its just one case, but that lack of originality kind of just afirmed what Ive thought of Lian Li since the late 80s when people were making a fuss that they were somehow "above and beyond" the other crappy Taiwan clones. Ive just never seen it. I do credit them for having a powerful, near Nintendo level, hype machine though! :cool:
