Hi,
A while back i replaced my DDR3 XMS 1600mhz RAM with DDR3 Corsair Vengence 1866mhz RAM.
Since that i have suffered blue screens quite frequently for different causes but when investigating they seem to be related to memory.
I ran MEM86 and that passed without problems.
My set up is as follows:
P8Z68-v (latest BIOS 0606)
i7 2600k
8GB Vengence 1866mhz RAM
GTX 560ti
Megahalems CPU Cooler
750 w Corsair PSU
Force 3 Corsair 120gb SSD
Before the RAM switch i had a stable 4.7ghz OC done with knowledge from reading the guides found here and never had any issues.
Since i changed the RAM i've had lots of problems and i seem to stop the problems when i run my set up on stock.
My GPU is stock, and my settings are exactly the same as before the new ram except for the XMP profile change for the new RAM.
I have altered my OC in different ways to try to resolve this with no luck. I tried not using XMP and putting the settings in manually with no luck.
Im wondering if theres anything else i can try ?
Do or SHOULD i have done anything on the mobo when installing the new ram such as using the MEM ok feature ? or do i need to reset something to clear old settings maybe ?
Im completely out of ideas so any assistance would be awesome.
