i got this controller the: SYBA SD-SA2PEX-2IR PCI Express SATA (SATA 2), Dual Channel Controller Card - Retail

and 2 of these: Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 SATA NCQ 3Gb/s ST3160812AS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

is raid 0 the best for me? which is faster 0, 1 ??
and how do i test my system?

You should do a search, here and Google, because there's a lot of info you need. In short, RAID 0 write/reads data across both drives to increase speed, called striping. Anandtech has a decent article comparing RAID performance with single drives. Bottom line, if you have to even ask about RAID, 99.9% sure you don't need RAID and won't see any performance increase. In a striped array, if one drive fails, ALL of the information is lost, 300+ gigs worth in your case ;)

RAID 1 writes/reads data to both drives individually, called mirroring. This gives you two drives with identical data. This means that if one drive fails, there's less risk of losing your data.

I'd suggest not using RAID and instead use one drive for Windows/data and the other drive for programs/data.

sorry but i already am using it. and i know a bit about computers. i made a good instalation 100% working. it's just that, i want to test it now, any ideas how? compare it to others people raid setups?
