A friend of mine has an HP a305w and has decided to upgrade to a socket 939 Opteron build. He plans on buying an Opteron 165 and a Biostar TForce 6100-939. He's not a gamer so he's going to be using onboard video. Currently the HP has only a 250w Bestec unit, so he's looking to upgrade his PSU as well. What would you guys suggest for something really cheap? Keep in mind he will be overclocking though. Not anything extreme though.

I figure a quality 350w or 400w unit would suffice so I was thinking either the FSP ATX-350PA for $29.99 or the AX400-PN for $39.99. What do you guys think?

What is the exact system build? This will help us recommend a better range of PSUs.

Totally not psu related, but...

For the next couple of days there's a combo at the 'egg:

BIOSTAR GEFORCE 6100-M9 Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Toledo 2.2GHz Socket 939 Processor Model ADA4200DAA5CD - OEM

Original price: $143.98
Discount: -$30.00
Combo Price: $113.98

compared to AMD Opteron 165 Denmark 1.8GHz Socket 939 Dual Core Processor Model OSA165CDBOX - Retail

The X2 4200+ is oem - so you'd have to look for a cpu cooler (though there are some very cheap 939 coolers out there) - and it is 2.2ghz compared to the Opty's 1.8ghz (and I doubt the Biostar is a stellar overclocker)

HTH, and sorry for being OT
