New Prommie installed

I admitted it. It just seemed like even those that said they were baffled were all lumped up as flamers. SOme of you guys rag on the skilled guys for using prommies and how anyone can do it. To be honest even if he maxed the chip out on air while the prommie was in the mail he would be in a better position to utilize it. There's nothing wrong with that ram, so take whatever time you want but honestly man, give it a shot before you buy new gear.

I think I will try it. But I always thought my ram would be hindering me the most. Plus, I want to upgrade my gear anyways so I just was going to wait till I got the new shit.

I cant get my below -39 so I think -50 is awesome. Did u mount a fan in front of the intake? I heard that can lower temps but untill I get my matching lian li frame kit, im not gonna bother.

That temp is shows, is not the real CPU temp. Their sensor is off the head a little. My IC7 MAX3 bios reads -21c at that speed. However, Abits read a little high. I think its probably around -30/-40c or so.

I didnt do anything extra to it, and that was with the fans on normal, at just about 1k rpm. You can set them to go 2500rpm... but its pretty loud then. Even at 700rpm it cools well, and is just about dead silent.

Ill clear up all the confusion. This is a prommie I got off of anandtech. Not here on these boards and it is indeed a Mach II. As for the oc, as I mentioned in some of my other threads, I had this chip oc'd to 3.3 on my stock cooling. I have since changed boards and untill I upgrade again and get new ram, I dont want to OC this bad boy. I am looking forward to seeing how much I can push her tho.

You sir are a much more patient man than I. You know that feeling all guys get when you look down off of a very tall building or perhaps you've peered over the edge straight down into the Grand Canyon? The one that grabs a handlul of yer ballz and slowly pulls down until yer stomach begins to tag along? That would be the feeling I would have everytime I pushed the power button having a Prommie with my CPU at stock speed. Congrats **blows party favor** to the man of IRON WILL :D
