Just got my new (to me) Mach II installed and just wanted to show it off. Wish I had a digi cam to snap some pics but this is the best I have.

Yeah how much was it? Where did you get it from? Does it work for AMD?

I bought it off of a member on Anandtech for $650 for the topless unit. And yes, you can buy a amd kit for this cooler.

Worth is relative to a person's desires.

That's -19C at stock speed, and loaded or idle?
Tried overclocking it yet? And that northbridge still seems a little hot...

This mobo registers temps about 20C hotter. So that NB isnt really hot at all. And thats at stock speed at full load. So thats really -39C or close. I would say its totally worth it.

Okay. Your CPU is -19c. What's your point?

Quit showing off and do something with it!

Seems like overkill. It's cool, but it just seems like overkill.

And I joined these forum's because I liked the community. But there seem to be alot of asshole.s like you angrybusdriver. Please dont post in any of my threads again. Thanx.

You took my post the wrong way...

I said quit showing off because all you're showing off is temp. Big deal, it's cold, and you're not doing anything with it?

Why not OC and show that off, that's why most people get prommies.

I'll post in whoever's thread I want and express my opinion when I want to, thanks.

I plan to upgrade before I really try and do some extreme ocing. I have my 2.6 @ 3.3 on stock cooling so im pretty sure with some better ram that I can get higher. And sorry I was excited about my temps and wanted to share, I wont do it again

Just OC it. Raise that multiplier

ur right!! pcperspective, and amdforums.com is turning into a all cpu forum...new thing, but it is!!! check back soon :)

I don't think I've ever seen a post about a prometeia and the CPU running at stock speed. /me is baffled

Be right back, I'm going to sit here and ponder why I have lost faith in mankind.

I'm a little confused. Your screenshot lists your p.c. running at 2.6 Ghz and your signature lists you overclocking to 3.3 Ghz. You didn't install that nice cooling system to run stock speeds did you?
Isn't that like shooting an ant with an elephant gun (no flame intended) or am I just plain missing something?

Jesus guys, chill out. He just got the damn thing installed. Let him tweak around. He's thrilled about his temps being so cool so let him have a little light. I dont see anyone else dishing $650 for a prommy setup. I know people have em but you dont see a lot of people with em.

Nice temps, I'm jealous, hope your enjoying your setup wish I could buy one too, but I'm getting married next month which ties up fianances.

Chill out? I simply asked a question. Maybe we should let the person who was asked the question decide such things:rolleyes:

I was more aiming at the guy hammering him about showing his temps then you asking about him ocing it.

Ill clear up all the confusion. This is a prommie I got off of anandtech. Not here on these boards and it is indeed a Mach II. As for the oc, as I mentioned in some of my other threads, I had this chip oc'd to 3.3 on my stock cooling. I have since changed boards and untill I upgrade again and get new ram, I dont want to OC this bad boy. I am looking forward to seeing how much I can push her tho.

Relax, and ignore the thread-crapping assholes that like to smear anyone's post into the ground...

Congrats on the purchase of a fine overclocking tool - the phase-change baby you've got is a fine one. Hope your overclocking adventures turn out great and fullfill your wishes. Wish I could afford one of those puppies!

:D

While I agree some people are assholes what you are doing makes NO sense. None, zilch, nada....

You spent all kinds of money on a prommie and you didnt even put back your old OC! You are going to upgrade.... what the hell are you going to upgrade? Your cpu? You havent even maxed it on the prommie! Some chips can max on air, while other are whole new beasts under something like that. Waiting for RAM? Why bother sometimes tight timiings prevail over high fsb. It is no surprise people are baffled. Most would drool over that to OC and you seem to think you make some sense by not doing so.

You are wasting your money and everyone's time. This is the biggest example I've seen of someone with too much money and not enough know how. I think you got it before your time. You havent even maxed on air or anything else. Give it away if you think you make sense because you don't! Gah... I have to go and act like the rest... but it's frustrating trying to get through whatever planet you are on.

Does it make sense to you that anyone who reads an OC tutorial can use your gear and an intel stock heatsink and do better?! If you are afraid to damage something but plaining ion upgrading.... why not beat on that stuff? Damn, man this place has more and more of this all the time.

Thanx for the input, ill be sure and file that in the I dont give a fuck what u have to say section.

Well, you came to brag but no one gives a shit about your 'results' either because there are none. Stop wasting your mommies money. NM... I'm being a dick.

It does sound like you can learn a lot from some members man. You really should max out your current stuff before buying new to get a better feel for how a prommie helps and what not.

This thread is lacking pics.

I agree. Come on, give him a break. He'll get around to it and I don't think your friendly cajoling is going to help.

I cant get my below -39 so I think -50 is awesome. Did u mount a fan in front of the intake? I heard that can lower temps but untill I get my matching lian li frame kit, im not gonna bother.
