Next I need to do the top of my case.

Keep the fingers off the metal before CLEAR! Other wise you will get Prints thats stick out under the clear coat.

Anybody know where i can buy this stuff locally (DFW area)? mnpctech won't sell any thing bigger than 1x2 which is too small for my side window and home depot and lowes dont carry it  I've googled for it but the sites that come up only sell to companys...double

Tops done..still need to find some of that metal for my window and paint the front bezel and side handle.

That looks pretty nice. I don't know about the front bezel... the only thing I could see would be silver, but it won't look rugged like the rest of it. Something has to be done with it though

Yea I'm kind of stuck on what I should do w/ it. I was thinking about spray on bed liner that they use for truck beds. Its rough and has a grainy texture to it which might look kind of cool. Only thing is I have no idea how well it will stick to the plastic.

Have you looked at that "FleckStone" spraypaint? There are several different textures available. i seen it at Home Depot. That stuff will give you a texture. It sticks to everything from glass, plastic, ceramic, and metal. They have all kinds of rugged colors, but you can can spray it with a solid overcoat after getting the texture you want.

Yea I was thinking about that but I ended up going w/ black chalkboard paint lol. Its sweet, it has a rough texture and you can write on it like a chalkboard, its also very tough and sticks to plastic very well. I'll post some pics later when I get batteries for my camera.

How about some of that color changing paint? Either that or I would tend to go with some bright color, regular spray paint has always worked for me, just make sure to clear coat it.

Black should look good. That chalkboard paint sounds like an interesting choice. Texture could work with the bare metal look.

dont know how good you are or if ya have the tools for it but how bout you get a sheet of metal to bend around the front of the case and rivet it on there just cot a poeice for the door and cut the air vents in there

Well I could not find the round hole steel I wanted so my buddy gave me some of this for free. Looks fine too me.
