here are a few concepts, please tell me which ones you like best

wave-concept.jpg

blue circles are a fan controller
or
frontres.jpg

the blue "bar" is a resivour that is molded to the same curves as the front, the door cut down and another silver alu plate ontop.

and here is my concept for the side window cut out
side-concept.jpg

I'm with Starhawk. Not really digging the first two, but if you can do that cutout, that would be the shiz.

Look on the second picture,
the blue "bar" is a resivour that is molded to the same curves as the front, the door cut down and another silver alu plate ontop.

that's nice... but (a) it would be very difficult to do and (b) i don't like the overall effect. i think an externally mounted one would be more aesthetically pleasing...

Resovoir would look sweet with UV LEDs molded into the frame, and some UV dye :D. Another vote for the resovoir idea. Nice cutout by the way. I dont like you taking off the door in the first one, and the fan controllers on the front are a nice idea, but I dont think it would look to good from the side, unless you have very slim dials, but then you would compromise on the grip.

i think im gunna go with something like this... but with the door

wave-concept2.jpg

ill probably start workin on this pretty soon as the res shouldnt cost too much... all i have to do then is find some one who will machine the "tombstone" ;) and a person with a table saw for the door...

the wave on the front is not that hard. You just have to heat up the acrylic and mold it to the correct shape. then use that piece to cut out the top and bottom pieces.

dont worry, as always, there will be a project log for this case aswell...

im thinking "Project Rip Tide" for a name but it kinda sounds cheezy... what do you think?

but there is already a case called tsunami... thermaltakes case...

many people think that thermaltake stinks like a three-day-old egg. they're not going to nail you for it anyways.

besides, it's still a good name. use it with pride. if not... i'll see if i can dredge up some names that hold water later... (pun intended).

definitely gotta do the led thing if you are gonna make the res. Really, it would just be water sitting there though, so unless you can make it wave, forget it. It would be hideous.
Looks good however you made it though.

you could try to mod an aquajet or two into the res to have an effect to the water instead of it just being standing water....
