I have a older system (see sig) and I've had two Antec TruePower 430 (the first one exploded). I got the second one almost 3 years ago and as of late, I've been having issues burning DVDs and CDs. I know the Antecs have bad cap problems, so I figured I would get a good new PS, so I purchased a XClio BL450. I went and installed it and it wouldn't start. They keyboard lights came on, the lights on the motherboard were on, but when I hit the power button, it just made a weird noise and nothing really happened. I tried unplugging and replugging everything but same results. Did I get a bad powersupply? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Well, here's what happened next: I unplugged everything except the atx connector and it still wouldn't start. I then plugged in my old Antec outside the case, and that worked. So then I replaced the Antec back into the system. I figured the XClio was DOA. I authorized the RMA from Newegg, but I figured I might as well try the XClio one last time, outside the case like Slartibartfast recommended. Well, this time it worked! I put the XClio altogether inside the system and it works fine. Should I be concerned about this XClio, especially since I see now that other people are having issues with their XClios? Or should it just be attributed to some random mistake, and just be happy it works now?

Who is having problems with XCilo's?

Just be happy it works now. ;)
