I redid my loop, adding a Maze4 6800 top so I could cool my 6800 Ultra, and got some new tubing as well.

What do you think?

it's intel there for it sucks, sorry for the flame but it's the truth, I own 5 P4s my self and my oced 3500+ venice destroys them all in games. Any system with intel sucks these days, not to mention MACS are going to start using intel. Do you really want a MAC?

Looks nice and clean :)

Do yourself a favor and resize your pics in PhotoShop or some other similar program. A size of about 3" x 5" at about a medium JPEG factor seems to work well.

It plays every modern game at max settings without problems. I got the processor and motherboard way back when AMD only had AMD XPs, and P4 was the champ. I don't know about you, but changing my motherboard, cpu, watercooling block, and possibly video card for a few extra fps is not even close to worth the time, effort and funds. Right now it does anything I throw at it, and that's all I need. The human eye can't tell the difference between 100 fps and 120fps, so you're criticisms mean very little.

hey rich? what is that thing you use to mount the fan+rad? is it some kind of kit I can buy?

and I guess you had to drill some holes into the case to install it and to get the tubes through?

Yes, I used a dremel for the square and a drill for the tubes to go through. I bought my shroud and mounting kit from "weapon" on this message board. His stuff is high quality and has made my temps drop since I went from fans alone to fans and a shroud.

Intel systems aren't as bad as you might think. Granted, I prefer AMD since I like to game and the complexity (and fun) that come with athlon 64 chips, but Intel's p4 is much smoother at times. A p4 is more fluid and responsive when compared to AMD chips with heavy multitasking (the x2 is the exception). This is, of course, something that only users can deduce themselves; benchmarks cannot detect this.

For gaming, however, the athlon 64 is far superior :). This is mostly due to the higher IPC architecture and on-die memory controller.

Nice looking rig............ :D

I'm also using Weapon shrouds, as a matter of fact, I'm using dual shrouds in a push/pull set-up right now..............

I think it looks great, but I also think that you have far too much tubing. You need to reorder your loop to reduce the amount of tubing. Dont worry about where the rad is in the loop, making sure it is before the cpu block etc... only worry about using the least amount of tubing you can.

EDIT : I didn't think that you might have gone that route to avoid kinking, but still, if you can use less tubing w/o kinking, do it.

How'd you like that new top? I am still using the two hole mounting on my 6800nu and I've found that it'll bow the card if I don't watch it. I was wondering if the four hole mounting has that cured.

Looks good man, I'really like the heater core and the way you mounted it on top the case with the Weapon shroud..........

Looks good SocceRich20. Are you using blue silicone tubing, or is that a dye?

Blue tubing, looks a lot nicer. Dye usually leaves a film around the tubing after a while and looks bad.

Yes, external radiators are nice. Better temps, better airflow, less noise, less clutter.

Get out of here, we don't give a shit.

Anyways, looks good Richie. Personally, i'd find a different way to route your tubing, it looks pretty busy the way it is right now.

Some of the tubing looks like its kinking a little bit too. Is the tubing between the RBX and the video card block kinked? Cause it kind of looks like it... Also, I think your putting a little to much stress on the tube going into your res, lol.

QFT. I hate those who think AMD is a million times better than Intel (and also Intel !!!!!!s) who think their brand of processor is better than all others in every way.

As for the kinking, you can always get some coolsleeves (they are made by swiftech). I've used them in my system, and I'll never go back. I can buy cheap ass tubing and use it with the coolsleeves without kinks, too :).

AMD IS BETTER!!! :p

BTW nice watercooled rig! post in the pictures thread!

lol I like that even though there's an AMD vr Intel war goign on, everyone is following up with legitimate responses to cover their asses, and I shall do the same...

Looks pretty good, idk about the whole heatercore sitting on top of the case however. How's the noise of those fans?

AMD "roxxors"

so uhm, this blue tubing, where can i find that mr man? and also what is the actual color of the water in the tubing? is it that kinda pink color you get when you add the good stuff additives that come with DD kits? and it looks good and we really do appreciate the resize of all the pics! in all the threads! i followed the format!

yeah, I agree, where'd you get the blue tubing? I really <3 it!

nice rig man, i wish I could afford water cooling

Got the tubing from cooltechnica. They're fast and very fair with prices. The tubing is awesome. The pics may seem like its kinked, but it is far from it. This tubing bends very sharply without kinks, and even with the stress on my res, there's still excellent flow, no restrictions.

nice setup, what temps u hittin with that? is it really worth it to get a shroud? or to refraise that question, how many degrees does a shroud drop a temp? (i have 1X 120mm rad)

k, i just made a shroud out of a useless 120mm fan that was horrible by cutting out the guts cleanly, it is air tight, but my question is if thats enough room for the full affect to take place? or do i need more space between the fan and rad.? my current setup is fan->shroud ->rad, so the air is being pushed through the rad... is there a better way to set this up? and is the should fully functional according to my description?
