New phone soon, to subsidize or not..

I am out of contract, but looking at getting a new phone. Toss up between the new SGIII and HTC One X. I kind of want to hold each and see which tickles my fancy. Will be moving from an iPhone 3Gs.

The question is, to subsidize or not.

Current plan/rate:
With discounts voice, unlimited data, and 200 texts run me about $60/mo on AT&T.
AT&T gave me a M-Cell tower, so I have good reception at home.

What are the alternatives out there? My current usage per month is like 200 minutes talking, 2GB+ data, 100 texts or so (maybe more but iPhone to iPhone is free now and not counted).

Are any pay as you go plans worth it?

Tmo $30 prepaid, and the extra $10 for the extra 100 min.......its the 100 min, unlim text 5gb data
