I've purchased a rig and after the normal waiting period, its finally arrived. :p

My question to you: what tests & software should I run to test this bad boy out? I've already done the absolute basics (installed anti-virus, etc.) but want to double check this custom vendor's handiwork.

where did you buy it from?
 
There are many software benchmarking tools you can download to check your new PC's integrity. I suggest you head over to [H]Consumer and read a few full system reviews to get a good idea of what you should be looking for.
