New PC randomly shuts down

Did you ever check the event log/viewer?

There's probably some .dmp files in your machine that's recording the problem but you need the Debugging tools from MS to read them. Find the 32bit version here and the 64bit version here.

Yes I checked the event viewer but I didn't use debugging tools, I just saw the error code was 7001 and 10005 but I didn't know what they mean. Will report back when I use the debugging tools.

Downloading the debugging tools now, anyone got anything else they wanna try?

I've been using the computer for hours now without the ATI drivers and my computer has been stable..

So, the problem has something to do with the drivers making my computer unstable...

---

I installed the debugger for Windows 64 bit but I have no idea where to find the crash dump files.

---

Just flashed my BIOS to f5 revision.. Will report back.

---

After updating BIOS, Windows boot up with the drivers and is currently stable. I am running ATI TOOL and so far no errors for 10 minutes...

(thunderstorm with lightning is in my area I should turn the computer off before something bad happens..)

---

Seems like all my problems went away right after I updated my BIOS to f5... Wow... lol. I just went on a witch hunt for defective parts when all I needed was a BIOS update. GFG
