Ok guys I just built a new PC for a friend of mine built to a pretty nill budget (hes a broke ass).
Now the specs are an
antec 350w smart power supply
ABIT NF7
512mb pc2700 buffalo
albatron GF4 mx (i think...i forget)
lite on 16x DVD drive
lite on 52x cd-rw
two 40gb maxtor 7200RPM drives
AXP 2000+ useing stock cooling
and one 120mm case fan.
ok now this thing is doing something I have NEVER seen before out of all the PC's ive built.
You press the power button itll turn on...now when you shutdown windows and press the power button again..the power and hard drive LED flick on then off..the system wont boot..now you gotta turn the powersupply off for like 10 seconds turn it back on..then press the power button and boom it works again. Now Ive been building PCs for a while and have never run into this problem ever ! WTF is causeing it? there is no way the power supply is too small for that rig especially since it isnt OCed.
Could the motherboard be a fucked up one? I know when we plug the 4 pin 12v plug into the board itll power up ..somtimes...it powered up everytime for me while it was here at my house...at his place..about 3 times..unplug the 4 pin and it powers on and off as I stated above...should I RMA the mobo back? or what?
